Why i cannot see a View Based Application in my Project Assistant window in XCode

I have just installed XCode 3.1.4. I cannot see the ViewBased Application template when i try to create a View Based application for the iPhone. In fact i 开发者_Python百科cannot see an iPhoneOS there at all. All i can see is Mac OS X. Do i have to install iPhone OS separately? Thank you
